A reputable rumor suggests that the next iPad will arrive in early 2011 with much needed upgrades
Rumors have been coming in about the iPad for months now, but the most solid evidence of what users might expect comes from Reuters, who cite multiple supplier sources that claim production is set to begin soon for an early 2011 release.
The new and improved iPad is expected to be thinner and lighter with a higher-resolution display and cameras on both the front and back.
No surprises there – it only makes sense that Apple would look to improve upon the iPads most obvious shortcomings with the next version (and continue to push FaceTime). Plus, an early release in 2011 would be in line with Apple’s yearly product cycle. In this case, April 2011 would be the most likely candidate.
